Behavioral\u00a0Sciences &\u00a0Technology (Face to Face) <\/strong><\/em>–\u00a0Emphasis is placed on the critical review of theory-driven research in the general principles of behavioral and social processes in technological contexts.<\/p>\n

Foundations of Technology & Learning (Face to Face) –\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Emphasis is on the critical review and analysis of computer-mediated communications, human-computer interaction, and human factors design research for learning contexts.<\/p>\n

Interaction\u00a0Design (Face to Face) <\/em><\/strong>– An in depth examination of how human-computer and interaction design influences learning.<\/p>\n

Masters Courses<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cognition & Instruction (Online) –\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Instruction designed to familiarize the student with key theories, concepts, principles, and phenomena in cognition and learning as they apply to instruction.<\/p>\n

Design of Educational Software (Face to Face) –\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Instruction in various theories of learning as they apply to courseware.<\/p>\n

Development of Educational Software (Hybrid) –\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Instruction using a project-based learning method that focuses on programming languages used to create educational multimedia. An emphasis has been placed on Internet-based applications.<\/p>\n

Human Development (Face to Face and Online) –\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Instruction in the theories and principles of human development as they occur throughout the lifespan, including physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development.<\/p>\n

Identity, Emotions, & Social Interaction (Face to Face) –\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Instruction into the origins and construction of identity, major theories of socioemotional development, and how culture, media and technology influence social interaction.<\/p>\n

Integrating Technology in Teaching and Learning (Online) –\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Study of research-based practices and methods of integrating technology to promote thinking and learning. Students actively explore contemporary technologies and environments for the production and consumption of information.<\/p>\n

Issue &\u00a0Methods of Online Learning (Online) –\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Instruction in\u00a0the theory and practice of\u00a0effective online teaching and learning. Emphasis is on issues and trends in computer-mediated communications and their impact on learning with technology and in technology-based environments.<\/p>\n

Research Methods (Face to Face) –\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Project-based learning approach to exploring research methods that includes research design, locating and summarizing published research, sampling, measurement, descriptive, and inferential statistics, and critiquing of published research.<\/p>\n

Technology & Educational Change (Online) –\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Examines issues and trends pertaining to technology-based innovations in education, including historical and current views of technology, current and emerging technologies, and technologies impact on educational reform.<\/p>\n

Educational Psychology (Face to Face and Online)
\n<\/strong><\/em>Instruction in general principles, theories, and recent research evidence regarding human development, human learning, and human motivation.<\/p>\n

Foundations of Educational Assessment (Hybrid)
\n<\/strong><\/em>Instruction that focuses on creating, standardizing, and interpreting diagnostic, performance, and proficiency assessments used in educational settings.<\/p>\n

General Psychology (Face to Face)
\n<\/strong><\/em>Instruction in the general principles of psychology, including biological bases of behavior, sense and perception, consciousness, personality, social behavior, and psychological disorders.

\nPreparing Teachers to Use Technology (Hybrid)
\n<\/em><\/strong>Addresses key technology hardware, software, web-based tools, and instructional practices in schools with a focus on developing teacher candidates’ knowledge, skills, and strategies for integrating information technology into the classroom.<\/p>\n
